The high selling lot in the 2008 Sale of Excellence sold for $11,550. Double-H SRC Lady Legend 535R (pictured above), a Cigar daughter out of the great Legend cow who was previously a top selling lot in the Sale of Excellence, Sold to Tom Ben Williams of Texas. Her bull calf, Double-H Legendary 752T by Double-H Kahlua sold to Shockey Charolais and Hudspeth Farms of Arkansas with ¼ interest being retained by Double-H and Spring Ridge. Lady Legend had a fabulous 9 of 10 score on the Igenity marbling test. A full sister and full brother remain at Double-H Charolais. The high selling lot in the Bruna Beef Genetics Sale was M6 Ms E46’s Duke 248 ET (pictured above), one of the most famous and sought after cows in the breed. One-half interest sold to Double-H Charolais for $10,000. She is the dam of the $170,000 Density and the $50,000 Right Now as well as many outstanding females. 248 had an amazing marbling ration of 136 in the M6 herd and has already produced a natural calf who weaned at over 900#.
![]() Double-H purchased the top selling lot in the Spring Ridge Mature Cow Herd Dispersal, VCR Miss Duchess 151Pfor $15,000. Duchess's EPDs are: BW 1.7 WW 43 YW 69 M 9 MTNL 31 SC 0.9. She is a Duke 914 x VCR Sir Mac's Gossip 404 daughter, and is pictured first, above. Double-H also purchased DA Ms Marion 328 P ET at the 29th National Charolais Sale in Louisville for $9,000. She is sired by JDJ Smokester J1377 and her dam is a Baldridge FastTrack daughter. At the National Show, Marion was the Dam of: The National Junior Bull Calf Champion The Reserve Champion Produce of Dam The Reserve Champion Junior Get of Sire At the Royal Breeder's Classic in Kansas City, Marion was the Dam of the Reserve Champion. Her progeny have already been winners and we believe she will continue to produce winners (And add strong EPD's too). Marion's EPDs are BW 1.4 WW 31 YW 46 M 23 MTNL 38 SC 0.7, and she is pictured second, above. Ms Impress 29K was purchased in partnership with Spring Ridge Cattle Company at the 2007 Sale of Excellence. A daughter of D040 and out of the great $20,000 cow who topped the Creighton Dispersal in Texas. Ms Impressive has a Cigar heifer calf at side that will absolutely knock your eyes out!
